3D printing materials

The material decides whether a part survives sun, heat or load. Here are all the materials we keep in stock — if you are not sure which to pick, describe the use and we will recommend one.

How to choose

  • Indoors and prototypes

PLA is accurate, stiff and the most affordable. A good fit when the part is not exposed to heat above 55 °C.

  • Load and moisture

PETG is tougher and does not mind water — holders, mounts and working parts.

  • Outdoors and heat

ASA withstands sun and weather and handles up to 100 °C. The strongest and most heat-resistant is carbon-fibre nylon PAHT-CF.

  • Flexibility and looks

TPU 95A gives like rubber. For glossy, glowing or translucent parts there are PLA Silk+, Glow and Translucent.

Frequently asked questions

Which material is the strongest?

Carbon-fibre nylon PAHT-CF: very stiff and tough, withstands up to 190 °C. For ordinary working parts PETG or ASA is often enough and costs less.

Is a printed part food safe?

We do not guarantee food safety: dirt can collect in the fine gaps between layers. We print parts for food contact or medical use only by separate agreement.

What if the colour I want is not in stock?

The colours in stock are shown on the material cards. We can usually order another colour — mention it in your enquiry and we will tell you the price and time.
